Answer

Normally, you will receive your account activation email within 5 minutes. Please check your spam folder(s) to see if it has gone there by mistake. And, remember to add Bigwardrobe.com to your ‘trusted senders’ list.

I cannot find my account activation email. Is it possible to re send it?

I cannot sign in; it says my User Name & Password are invalid?

Answer

This may be because you have not activated your account. Bigwardrobe.com sent you an email to your registered email address with a link you need to click to complete registration.

Please refer to your account activation email which contains your User Name & Password. Failing this please click here contact our technical team.

You can use our Password Reminder by clicking here. Your email will then be emailled to your account.

Listing Items

Question

When I list an item it says ‘Invalid Character’. Why?

Answer

This means that you are using a character that Bigwardrobe.com can not process. Try removing any special characters like _ or -.

Question

I’m having difficulty uploading my photographs. Is there a maximum file size or a preferred image type (e.g. Jpeg)?

Answer

Yes, the max file size is 4mb and the file type required is .jpg or .jpeg.

Question

I’m waiting for my uploaded item(s) to be approved. Will I be notified if an item is rejected?

Answer

Newly listed items can take up to 24 hours to appear online. This stops inappropriate material being uploaded. Only items that are related to clothing & fashion are accepted on Bigwardrobe.com. If an item is not accepted, you will not currently be notified but you can check in the My Item page in the My Wardrobe Area.

I would like to list a bundle of items; how do I do this?

Answer

Bigwardrobe.com does not currently offer a facility to list bundles of items.

Editing Listed Items

Question

I want to edit an item. How do I do this?

Answer

Go to ‘My Wardrobe’ and select ‘View/Edit Items’. Follow the relevant link & instructions. The only details you can not currently edit are category, images and condition.

I want to edit an item photograph. How do I do this?

Answer

Bigwardrobe.com does not currently offer this option. If you want to change an image, you must delete & re-list an item.

Feedback

How do I view my feedback?

Answer

Log into ‘My Wardrobe’ and select ‘View/Edit Profile’ followed by ‘View Feedback’

Question

I have been left negative feedback but no transaction has taken place. What should I do?

Answer

If you feel that your feedback is inaccurate, please contact us and the case will be investigated.

How to Trade

Question

I have just sold an item. How do I arrange postage & payment?

Answer

You will receive an email from Bigwardrobe.com containing details of your transaction including: other members contact details & postal address. Please make your own arrangements using this information. We recommend that you send items by Recorded Delivery.

Question

What methods of payment can I use?

Answer

When items are listed, the payment options are selected by the member. This is viewable on the item display page. The options are Cheque, PayPal or other. If PayPal is selected, you will find a link to pay on the 'Offers Made' page in the 'My Wardrobe' area. If Cheque or Other is selected, payment arrangements are down to both members to agree. The amount payable is the accepted offer plus the postage cost.

Must I be a registered user of Bigwardrobe.com to trade with another member?

Answer

Yes. But membership of Bigwardrobe.com is 100% free & registration takes only a few minutes.

How do I link my PayPal account to my Bigwardrobe.com account?

Answer

When you list an item it prompts you to enter your PayPal details. Bigwardrobe.com does the rest.

Question

Is there a way that I can retract offers that I have made?

Answer

No, making an offer is final and should only be done if you 1000% sure you would like to proceed.

Question

I accepted an offer but the other member no longer wants the item(s). What should I do?

Answer

This shouldn't happen as its not fair. If you do experience this, however, re-list the item(s) so other Bigwardrobe.com members can make you offers and inform Bigwardrobe.com about the member who defaulted.

Can I view the items I have traded on Bigwardrobe.com?

Answer

Yes. Log into ‘My Wardrobe’ & select ‘View Completed’; this will display you your traded items.
