How it works

Bring your clothes to the venue, where the team sort through them with you. You can bring up to 15 items only. Everything must be in great condition. Please be selective and make a separate pile for items which are more suitable for a charity shop. Please bring all your items on hangers where possible. This will help ensure The BIG Swish starts on time. You can also bring unlimited accessories. Your clothes will be sorted into two areas:

1. High Street Area: Clothing and accessories from high street stores only.

2. Premium Area: Designer labelled goods or items which are a ‘little bit special’.

The decision will be made by the sorting team on the door. However, feel free to mark which items you think should be allocated to the Premium Area.

You will receive one pass for entry to the High Street Swish and one pass for entry to the Premium Swish (i.e. if you have donated items to both). The number of items you have donated to each area will be written on the back of your pass(es); you can take the same amount of clothing and/or accessories home with you.

Rules

1. There will be changing rooms with plenty of mirrors. If you want to try things on, you may only leave the two areas with same the number of items shown on your pass(es). You are free to re-enter these areas at any time and swap your choices for different items to take back to the changing rooms (think of this like the rules governing most changing rooms on the high street – there’s always a limit so the process can be managed properly).
2. Before leaving The BIG Swish your pass(es) will be checked to ensure the number of items you’re taking home correspond to the items you brought with you. We’re sorry but this is to ensure things are kept 100% fair for everyone.
3. Please bring at least one item of good quality clothing that you would be proud to swap.
4. Enjoy yourself!

Cancer Research UK

Everything left over at the end of the evening will be donated to the Cancer Research to help them beat cancer. If you also have non-fashion related items that you would like to donate to Cancer Research (e.g. books, DVD’s, toys etc.) please drop these off at the venue during the allocated clothes drop off times.
